Situated in the famous Ostbahnhof railway station, this hotel is in an excellent location for exploring the East Gallery and the area around. We were provided with a free travel pass so used Berlin's excellent public transport for no cost at all for our entire trip including the transfer back to the airport. That's a worthwhile saving that puts the already reasonable cost of the hotel into sharp perspective. We didn't bother with breakfast as there are so many other options in the station. The room was clean and quiet despite being next to the railway tracks. There was a fridge in the room to keep our drinks cool. Use of wifi and TV were problem free. Bathroom facilities were fine. All of the staff we dealt with were friendly and helpful. On our checkout day we used the free left luggage facility before heading home later in the day.

Located in Ostbahnhof, which offers you a lot of mobility. If you book through the hotel's own website, you will get a complimentary public transportation ticket as a gift. When you first arrive, you are directed to a computer kiosk for check-in, after you enter all your information and pay, the machine gives you your room key. The room was nice, clean, warm and noise-free. There is a kettle, tea/coffee and a complimentary bottle of water in the room. Breakfast is excellent with many delicious choices, spacious room. Alexanderplatz is very close: 2km on foot or 2 stops by train. There is a very big grocery store inside Ostbahnhoff which is open all the time and meets all your needs. The hotel neighborhood is quite safe for walking in the night.

Beds were comfortable although would have been nice to have choice of pillow as it was pretty soft. Room had everything you would need for a short break and was a decent size for two people. Bathroom was a good size aswell and the shower had great water pressure. The best part of the hotel was the location. It was right next to Ostbahnhof Station so very convenient for travelling using the U bahn and the S bahn. It was also a great price for the three nights we stayed. We were able to get a travel pass for our stay from reception once we had signed up to H rewards online. This was an added bonus and saved us quite a bit on train tickets

Combine that with the free public transport ticket for the whole duration of the stay (you should definitely ask for it on the reception desk), and you’ve got a perfect match! And even though we were always 3 minutes away from the train, it was very quiet in the room. And on top of that there’s also daily room service. I’m blown away by the price/quality of this place.

Also there were alot of bakeries and food places inside the station, aswell as Rewe and Penny markets in the underground level. Only 500 meters from the start of East Side Gallery. The hotel also offers a card with unlimited transport within ABC zones for the duration of your stay, which includes u-bahn, s-bahn and buses (you have to register online as h-rewards member before you get this).
